We are excited to announce that we’ll be co-hosting a CCM accredited CEU for NCMs (and adjusters who wish to attend), on Tuesday, June 18th at 1pm EST. DME Update
Lately we’ve been hearing from some of our client partners that there has been an increase in bills received for unauthorized DMEs. In further digging, we found that there has been a concerning trend in the industry where some DME companies have been using aggressive sales tactics to push therapy providers into writing and signing scripts to order their products. We have addressed this with our full network of providers, recommending that they stay alert and disengage with DME companies that are using unethical practices. We have also reminded them that it is important that any/all DMEs requests are discussed with the physician and approved by the adjuster/case manager prior to ordering, and continue to remind them of this on each referral we send. We thank you for bringing this to our attention – and will continue to educate our providers on staying diligent.
