Deferred Surgery Program

The Bardavon Deferred Surgery Program prehabilitates (prehab) injured workers waiting for surgery during the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond.

Delayed surgeries can negatively impact total claim cost and the duration of post-surgery rehabilitation. It can also lead to chronic pain and decreased injured worker functional outcomes.

The Bardavon Deferred Surgery Program allows pre-surgical patients to be placed with a Provider Partner specifically trained in pain management.

This evidence-based program is designed to improve patient pain perception and physical conditioning and continually reassess their needs. Prehab is a critical component for progressing injured workers with delays to full-duty Return-To-Work (RTW) post-surgery. Prehab delivers the best possible recovery path.

Bardavon’s Deferred Surgery Program is just one of many tools our Provider Partners utilize to optimize treatment.
